FROM JOSEPH: I was obsessed with Courtney and Kris from the moment I met them. Their energetic, vibrant personalities were 100% my vibe. When they booked me for photography, Kris said he loved that I had a big enough personality to handle his East Coast family. He warned me – It’s gonna be hard to get them to listen. No problem! I’m definitely never afraid to direct and personally love jumping into the mix to help work though the family photo list. These photos overlapped with cocktail hour and my goal was to get them to the bar – ASAP!
Fast forward to the morning of the wedding. As I began shooting the details, Courtney was looking for guidance on how to pose. I coached her through the photos while gently giving the right amount of directions – and of course some fun things to do with her entourage, all of these details matter. This can be stressful for my couples if they’re not normally in front of a camera, so from the start of the wedding day, my team and I bring our big energy, big smiles, and (in my opinion) great sense of humor. Its our Special Sauce. Trying to keep the mood light and fun is important, so my couples feel comfortable, and can enjoy their day while I get the photos they’ll cherish forever.
